Chapter 15: Pouring Soda in the Backseat

Throughout the book, Randy makes a distinction between "people" and "things". What did you think of his decision to empty that can of soda in the backseat of his car?

  4. I think there is a time and place for fooling around but Randy never thought you had to be serious, which is great. He didn't let that bother him very much.

  5. I think that it was a funny idea because people are more important than things, & cars can be washed. It also showed the kids that he wouldn't be mad at them if the had an accident.

  6. I think Randy's decision to dump the soda on the backseat of his car was appropriate because he knows his car will get dirty.
