Throughout the book, Randy makes a distinction between "people" and "things". What did you think of his decision to empty that can of soda in the backseat of his car?
i think it was crazy but good. crazy because it was a new car but cool because it was showing the kids that they don't have to be so careful and they can just have fun
I thought it was a good decision because it was showing the kids that he is not going to get mad if they mess up the car at all. just if there having fun its OK with him.
I think there is a time and place for fooling around but Randy never thought you had to be serious, which is great. He didn't let that bother him very much.
I think that it was a funny idea because people are more important than things, & cars can be washed. It also showed the kids that he wouldn't be mad at them if the had an accident.

ReplyDeleteYes, but what did you think of his decision? Did you approve or disapprove of it?

ReplyDeleteI think Randy's decision to dump the soda on the backseat of his car was appropriate because he knows his car will get dirty.
