Chapter 61: The Dreams Will Come to You

Randy realized that he didn't give the lecture because he wanted to. He gave it because he "had to." Are there things inside of you that "need to come out"? If so, what are they?

As you read this final chapter of the book, what were the emotions you were feeling?

How would you describe the legacy of Randy Pausch?

  1. I myself don't have eneything that needs to come out. As I read I felt sad because is life is over. I would describe it as a good one because of the man he was and the way he put together his final words to his students and kids.

  2. There are things that, for me, need to come out because I can never bottle things up inside. I am a very emotional person so when things upset me I make it very clear and it's hard to hide it even if I want to hide it people can read me like a book. I was feeling a lot of mixed emotions about it, I was feeling very strong and powerful because Randy's words motivate you, but I also felt very saddened and upset for him as well. His legacy will live on for ever and it is something that when you read it you'll never forget it. It's a very powerful, moving book.

  3. Yes, when my dad said I wasn't going to graduate. The way Randy is saying goodbye is very unique, & something that his kids will be able to look at for the rest of their lives.

  4. The things that need to come out is the fact that I am a rather mean person because I have been hurt
My emotions I felt while reading this chapter was very sad because this meant the end of the book and the end of his life.
